SEATTLE WASHINGTON OCTOBER 16, 2007 For its third year in a row The Peter M. Putnam Foundation will be able to provide The First Tee of Greater Seattle with scholarships in the amount of Six hundred and Sixty dollars for their youth golf programs. The Putnam Foundation is delighted in the accomplishments of The First Tee in the past year and looks forward to allowing more children in the Seattle area a chance to play.
Kimberly Brown the Assistant Director said “The First Tee of Greater Seattle is very fortunate to have the Putnam Foundation as a supporter of our kids and as a part of The First Tee family.” As a result of the Putnam Foundations grant the First Tee has been able to give the game of golf to more than 1,000 kids annually; with about one-third of the participants on full scholarship to cover the $55 membership fee. (First Tee of Greater Seattle). Brown Said, “The Putnam Foundation has played a significant role in making sure we can meet the needs of every child we serve.”
