Garlic Jim’s Gourmet Pizza and Peter M Putnam Foundation to “Raise Dough for Kids”

Local entrepreneur to help local kids gain access to sports

SEATTLE, September 22, 2005 -- Garlic Jim's Gourmet Pizza will team with the Putnam Foundation throughout October to raise money to support kids in local Western Washington Communities.  The first annual “Raising Dough for Kids” Campaign will involve Washington based corporate and franchise Garlic Jim’s stores. Money raised by the campaign will go to further the Putnam Foundation vision of increasing access to sports for all youth in Washington regardless of circumstances.

"Garlic Jim's is excited to reach out and further the connection with our communities." said President Dwayne Northrop. "Working with the Putnam Foundation ensures our money will do great things and our owners will be able to further connect and support the kids they see every day."

Each Tuesday, throughout October 2005, Garlic Jim's will donate $2.00 for every medium and $3.00 for every large pizza purchased in Western Washington stores. The money will go to support organizations and kids from that local delivery area. The Putnam Foundation will then work with local organizations to make sure kids and programs are created that will connect the kids to their community and get them on the right side of the fence.
